Laurence Vallières at URBAN NATION Berlin

Amanda Brownridge

If you happen to be in Berlin this week, be sure to catch Laurence Vallières in action!

From March 21st - 26th 2018 Laurence Vallières will be creating one of her lifesize sculptures live in the URBAN NATION museum!

Montreal based artist Laurence Vallières is best known for her larger than life sculptures of animals made entirely out of recycled cardboard. Her sculptures often take the shape of various species of apes, among other noble animals. Vallières has an uncanny ability to capture the physiognomy of the animals she represents in her cardboard creations, giving them a distinctive life-like presence.

It's been a busy year for Vallières with massive installations at POW!WOW! Hawaii, Juxtapoz Clubhouse Miami, Hull UK City of Culture, Moniker Art Fair London, and POW! WOW! Korea to name only a few! Stay tuned for more exciting work by this incredibly talented artist!
